Chrissy's Easy Apple & Jalapeno Brine Infusion Recipe!




Using a brine for your meats really infuses it with flavor. Brining is a technique that soaks foods in a sugar, salt solution to make it more juicy and flavorful. You can brine Fish, Shrimp, Turkey, Chicken or Pork.The flavor gets deep into the meat. This particular brine I use for my fish such as Salmon. I recommend brining your meat a minimum of 18- 24 hours.


Ingredients:


6 Jalapenos Sliced 
1 Granny Smith Apple Cubed
3 Gallons of Cold Water in a large bowl, Clean Bucket or Large stock pot.
3 Cups Apple Cider or Apple Juice
1/8 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
5 Cloves of Garlic
2 Cups kosher salt
2 Cups Brown Sugar



Directions: 

Put all ingredients in the water and add your meat. Cover with plastic wrap. Put in the fridge, or cool storage place, Stir or move the meat around every 4-6 hours to insure all pieces are evenly brined. 

Remove meat from brine and pat dry the outside with a clean cloth or paper towels. Cook to your desire, then enjoy the infused flavor, and the juicier bites!
