Chrissy's Super Easy Love Filled Popovers! 30 Minute WOW gifts!

Want to make something special for someone for Valentine's Day??
How about these stuffed with goodness pop overs! I like to use Nutella it is a chocolate hazelnut spread you can buy at the local grocery store.

First start with 2 cans or more of pre-made crescent rolls.
1 for top layer, and 1 for bottom layer.

On a flat surface I lay down wax paper or parchment paper.

Roll out the dough and pre heat my oven according to the directions on the crescent roll package.

I then separate each triangle, and spread out a tablespoon at a time of filling into the center and then with the spoon pull from the center and work out towards the corner tips. Leave 1/2 inch from edge clean with no filling.

In a small bowl mix your filling..

Filling Ideas:

Cream Cheese and Pesto
White Chocolate Chips and Strawberries
Broccoli & Nacho Cheese
Chocolate Chips and Raspberries
Nutella and Peanut Butter
Chopped Ham, and Swiss cheese
Apricot Jam and Chocolate Chips
White Chocolate Chips and Crumbled Oreo Cookies
Any canned pie filling, Cherry, Apple, Lemon, Etc.
Honey & Fresh Fruit of any kind except melon!
Mozzarella cheese, Italian Sausage, and your Favorite Jar Sauce
Chocolate chips and raspberries
Hazelnut Chocolate Spread
Apricot Jam and Chocolate Chips
White Chocolate Chips and Orange Marmalade (Orange cycle)
Cream cheese and 1 Tablespoon of Jelly (low sugar jelly for diabetics)

Be creative! Savory or sweet!

**Frosting recipe at bottom***

Using a plain unfilled crescent triangle pull the edges gently outward keeping the triangle shape of it so you can use it as a top. Pull just enough so it will go over top of your filling and touch the edge of your bottom crescent layer roll.

With a fork press the two edges of the top and bottom together around the whole outside. Brush with egg whites or spray with cooking spray then sprinkle with sugar or sprinkles of your choice, for savory you can use sliced tomatoes or marinara sauce to make a heart shape.

Bake roughly 15 minutes, until golden brown on the outside.

Decorate the outside any way you choose. I let cool a little and made a heart shape with chocolate chips and gently spread them smooth to fill in the center then placed in the fridge. I have also used powdered sugar on top of them to make them look more fancy. But they always seem to bring smiles to the faces of those they are given to. There is just something special about a gift made yourself. ❤❤❤

For smaller bite size popovers just spread a little filling in the center of one crescent triangle and fold the crescent over itself then press the entire outside edge with a fork to seal it.

Spread the love and Enjoy!!

**Chrissy's Sweet Note**
